Welcome to the Graduate Women International 35th Triennial General Assembly and Conference!

What you need to know.

Graduate Women International (GWI) will convene its 35th Triennial General Assembly to conduct critical organizational business, including the election of a new Board of Officers and Committee members, and the adoption of key resolutions that will guide GWI’s international advocacy efforts. In addition to business sessions world-class speakers will offer cutting edge keynote address and serve as panelists. 

Following the General Assembly, GWI will host a Public Conference open to members, partners, advocates worldwide, and students. The Conference will feature workshops and seminars led by GWI scholars from around the globe, along with panel discussions featuring GWI education leaders, policymakers, gender equity specialists, and innovators.

General Assembly and Conference Registration Fee: 

Early bird fee of 350 Swiss francs (includes access to all sessions, keynote addresses, workshops, and networking breaks). Other categories of registration include conference only, culture night guest, young member, welcome reception and can be selected at check out.

Subthemes:
The following five subthemes will be addressed throughout the 3-day event:
1.    Education and empowerment for women in diverse contexts: Pathways to a sustainable future.
2.    What is a future context in which education, culture, gender, and the economy will operate?
3.    Gender-based cultural issues and barriers in education in relation to gender equity.
4.    How relationships, including intergenerational and community connections, enable growth and sustainability.
5.    Technology, AI, and Innovation: Relevance to Empowering Women for the Future.

Accommodations: (Hotel reservations will be bookeed by the participant.)

The Mulungushi International Conference Centre (MICC) in Lusaka is a world-class conference center with several safe and reputable hotels nearby that offer convenient lodging for attendees. All attendees will make their own arrangements for accommodations and preferred rates at these hotels will be negotiated by the Local Arrangement Committee and published on the event website.

•    Protea Hotel Lusaka: Situated within the Arcades Shopping Complex, this hotel is adjacent to the MICC, providing easy access for conference participants.
•    Radisson Blu Hotel Lusaka: Located approximately 5 minutes from the MICC, this hotel offers a range of rooms and suites, along with amenities suitable for business travellers.  
•    Neelkanth Sarovar Premiere: An all-suite business hotel situated about 2.6 km from the MICC, offering spacious accommodations and modern amenities.  
•    Taj Pamodzi Lusaka: Located approximately 4.7 km from the MICC, this hotel is set amidst tropical gardens in Lusaka’s central business district and offers a variety of room options.
